Couples Bridge
The Community United Methodist Church Bridge Marathon is always looking for couples who enjoy playing bridge with a fun, social group - no pressure. If you would like to play full time or if you would like to be an occasional substitute, call the church office for more information. Play begins in September and continues monthly (except for December) through May.
GEN-X
This young couples group is open to anyone in our congregation who is looking for a social outlet with couples who may have small children and need some adult couple time! We usually have one "bring the kids" event and the rest are just for mom and dad! If you have any questions, please contact Erica Hodgson or the church office at 262-782-4060.
The Young Couples Group
This is a group of young couples (hence the name) who are a little younger than Gen-Xers and typically don't have children (although everyone is welcome). We meet socially on a monthly basis for dinner, coffee, bowling, movies and other group activities. If you have an interest or would like more information contact Andy or Heidi Christianson by email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?
This is a "get together for dinner" group with a different mix of people each time. It's a fun evening with dinners hosted at several homes. You only go to one home. Guests arrive bringing their meal contributions, hosts don't know who to expect for dinner till the door bell rings. This event is held quarterly.
Las Posadas
Las Posadas (Spanish for "the inn") is a traditional Mexican festival which re-enacts Joseph's search for room at the inn. Each Christmas season, "Joseph and Mary" lead a procession through our community stopping at previously selected homes to ask for lodging. The people are invited in to read scriptures and sing Christmas carols called villancicos. One portion of a three-part meal is provided by the hosts as the entourage searches for lodging.
...and many more! Watch The Welcome Word and Sunday bulletins for more information.
